How long does it take to deploy a non-EU CE driver in Spain, by nationality?
Deployment speed depends on the driver's passport. Ukrainian drivers holding Temporary Protection under Council Implementing Decision 2022/382/EU have immediate work authorisation in Spain, valid until 4 March 2027. Moldovan drivers require 3–8 months via standard work permit; Kazakh and Belarusian drivers need 6–12 months. DGT licence exchange runs in parallel and can add up to 8 months for countries without a bilateral agreement.

Regulatory framework: Ukrainian drivers in Spain operate under Real Decreto-ley 6/2022, implementing Council Implementing Decision 2022/382/EU, which grants automatic work authorisation to Temporary Protection beneficiaries — valid until 4 March 2027. Over 200,000 Ukrainian nationals are registered in Spain under this scheme. Employment agency services (Agencia de Colocación) are regulated under Ley 56/2003 de Empleo and Real Decreto 1796/2010, requiring a responsible declaration to the SEPE (Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal) per Orden TES/1324/2024.
What checks does DriversHub run before a CE driver enters the pool?
Every driver passes six mandatory checks before joining the pool: valid CE licence with at least 2 years remaining, active CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence, 35h), DGT exchange status tracked, medical fitness certificate for professional driving, criminal background report from country of origin, and language assessment conducted in person or by video call.
All drivers pass document verification and an in-person or video interview before joining the pool.
